HENRY NICHOLSON, SR. |
|
|
A tribute to an Uncle, Co-Worker, Friend and Father Figure and a Member of our Auction Family.
First and foremost we take great comfort in knowing that Henry rests now in the hands of the Lord, for he had a true spiritual relationship with God and may God now touch the hearts of his family as they go down this path of sorrow. May they smile at all the memories that they share and rejoice in knowing he lies in Heaven.
A Little History: In the early 60's my mother married into the Nicholson family to Henry's older brother Frances (Sas), when my mother and Sas decided they wanted to leave the shore, I didn't want to go, I wanted to finish my schooling here, so Henry suggested that I stay with him, his mother and brother Josh. From this point on I had found not only an Uncle, but a true friend and father figure, he raised me as if I were his own in every way. Later in life I started the Auction Business and Henry was there for me to assist in anyway I needed and became my clerk and has been for 30+ years. He missed very few sales and was always there with a smile and pleasant attitude for the customers. Henry had a big part in my life and making me the man I am today. Henry made all of my family his family over the years and has made many friends, he will be truly missed.
It has been not only an honor but a privilege to have known and loved Henry Nicholson, Sr., and we send our prayers and blessings to his family and thank them for sharing him with all of us for so long.
